Polycarbonate is colorless and transparent, heat-resistant, impact resistant, flame retardant, and has good mechanical properties even at normal operating temperatures. Compared with methyl methacrylate with similar performance, polycarbonate has better impact resistance, higher refractive index, better processing performance, and UL94 V-2 flame retardant performance without the need for additives. When polycarbonate is burned, it emits pyrolysis gas, causing the plastic to burn and bubble, but it does not ignite.

It extinguishes immediately from the ignition source and emits a thin phenol odor. The flame is yellow and emits light black light. It begins to soften at a temperature of 140 ℃ and melts at 220 ℃, and can absorb infrared spectroscopy. Polycarbonate has poor wear resistance. Some polycarbonate devices used for wear and tear purposes require special surface treatment.

Advantage

1. Super strong UV absorption ability; Effectively prevent ultraviolet ray from damaging skin and causing cancer, and significantly improve the anti-aging performance of the product.

2. It hardly absorbs visible light and is the preferred UV absorber for colorless, transparent, and colored products.

3. Not flammable, non corrosive, and has good storage stability.

4. It has good compatibility with various high polymers and has long-term antioxidant and anti yellowing properties. It can be used in combination with general antioxidants.
